    The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for leading process improvement initiatives in the Payment Processing area of IT.  The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for understanding, defining, and refining the Payment Processing business processes and their associated IT systems. 


    The Senior Business Analyst will partner closely with the leaders within the PMO, Development, DevOps, Security, QA, and Data Analytics to implement process changes in support of automating processing operations, reducing processing costs, improving authorization and collection rates, and ensuring adherence to compliance standards set by our Payment Processors, the card networks (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover), and NACHA.  The Senior Business Analyst will have the ability to establish and maintain relationships across IT, Operations, Finance, Product, Sales, and Servicing. 


    The Senior Business Analyst will work closely with the operations and the business to drive IT change and further Progrexion’s evolution to a cloud-based billing platform.  The Senior Business Analyst should be familiar with Waterfall, Agile, SDLC, and hybrid approaches to software development.  Business process modeling, Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, and Tableau skills are essential for success.   



    Be a Detail-Oriented Business Analyst for Complex, Cross Functional Projects and Programs

    • Document and analyze current business processes and propose technical and non-technical solutions to streamline.
    • Define new processes in collaboration with Payment Processing, Operations, Finance, Product, Servicing, and Sales.
    • Document quality business requirements for new implementations and major enhancements existing systems.
    • Coordinate business requirements with Payments teams and stakeholders to standardize and remove ambiguity.
    • Familiarity with software development lifecycles and processes (Waterfall, Agile, SDLC).
    • Ability to work on multiple projects with varied technologies/industry segments.


    Be a Payments Functional Expert

    • Establish and maintain in depth knowledge of Progrexion Payment processes, systems, and vendors.
    • Provide process and system support to Payment Processing, Operations, Finance, Product, Servicing, and Sales teams.
    • Plan and lead user-acceptance testing, training, and post-deployment validation on behalf of the Payments team.
    • Understand current vendor product and service offerings to improve authorizations, settlements and reduce cost.
    • Evaluate prospective vendors in support of business objectives, compliance, and improved daily payment processing.


    Be a Strategic Thinker

    • Develop a comprehensive set of metrics to measure Payment Processing risk, fraud, chargebacks, refunds.
    • Define and maintain internal metrics Payments dashboards (Tableau) leveraging internal and external data sources.
    • In partnership with the business and PMO, define project scope and build supporting business cases.
    • Strong expertise with using Excel, SQL, and PowerPoint to analyze and present large, complex data sets


    Be an Effective Communicator

    • Communicate via multiple communication channels to stakeholders (technical, non-technical) and executives.
    • Ensure Payments dept. understands project goals, objectives, status, deliverables, and business impact.
    • Effectively communicate the business value of processes, projects, and products across all levels of organization.
    • Build and nurture cross-functional relationships inside and outside of Payment Processing and IT.
    • Able to effectively give, receive, and respond to feedback.




    • College Degree in business or technology preferred. Equivalent work experience may be substituted for education.
    • Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a business analyst with complex custom and enterprise-wide systems.
    • Experience with credit card networks, subscription-based billing, and cloud-based billing platforms a plus.
    • Extremely detail oriented, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong sense of ownership and accountability to deliver and exceed planned results.
    • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
