  • Overview

    The Content Coordinator is a critical function within our Marketing Department. This position is a blend of communication, creativity, analytics and project management.

    Responsibilities

    • Gather and evaluate user requirements and develop user stories in collaboration with product managers and developers.
    • Manage multiple projects effectively and efficiently while maintaining priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
    • Communicate issues and concerns to stakeholders and leadership frequently and clearly.
    • Design HTML layouts for web & email content.
    • Manage the changes and updates to all WordPress websites.
    • Develop engaging topics and content plans based on brand guidelines for multiple brands.
    • Implement a competitive analysis of key competitors and maintain a process for ongoing competitive analysis.
    • Create, curate, and manage all content (images, video and written copy).
    • Translate qualitative data into recommendations for improving social media, content marketing, SEO and social advertising campaigns.
    • Manage content development and execution process between internal account managers, content creation team and outside vendors and customers.
    • Improve and own content development and tracking processes.
    • Develop and maintain content for online properties including websites, landing pages and blogs.
    • Optimize digital content according to SEO.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Business or related field from four-year college or university required (major/minor in English or focus in writing is favorable).
    • Experience creating and populating web content in one or more commonly-used Content Management Systems using a WYSIWYG editor, as well as in HTML code.
    • Thorough understanding of basic web technologies, frameworks and concepts (FTP, CMS, SEO, analytics, e-commerce, web design patterns, etc.) as they relate to content design and management.
    • Solid understanding and ability to work with WordPress and/or other website platforms.
    • Good grasp of Web Analytics and Search Engine Optimization.
    • Possesses knowledge and experience in the tenets of traditional marketing.
    • Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing.
    • Maintains excellent copywriting with the ability to change content voice.
    • Maintains a working knowledge of principles of SEO including keyword research and Google Analytics. Highly knowledgeable in the principles of “Search and Social.”
    • Flexibility to learn new skills.
    • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
    • Ability to take direction and manage others.
    • Strong attention to detail, highly organized.
    • Ability to prioritize, track and execute multiple open projects simultaneously.
    • Desire to take on responsibilities above and beyond explicit direction.
    • Content marketing, social media marketing, copywriting.
    • Experience developing or managing processes across teams, copywriting, project management.
