    • Establish and maintain a thorough understanding of payments processes, systems, and the overall payments vision.  Analyze impact of changes as new solutions are introduced to the environment.
    • Conceptualize solution and document quality business requirements for new system implementations and major enhancements to existing solutions.
    • Collaborate directly with the PMO, Development, QA and IT Operations teams on payments-related projects.
    • Actively participate in design and architecture processes as a representative of the Payments team
    • Plan and perform user-acceptance testing and post-deployment validation on behalf of the Payments team
    • Develop and maintain overall payments process flows – both “as-is” and “to-be”
    • Assist QA with the creation of test plans by providing insight and knowledge of the requirements and business process.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal IT and business stakeholders
    • Identify inefficiencies in the current payments business process and develop concrete action plans to resolve and streamline.
    • Support the Payments Team in the development of a payments business roadmap that identifies the high-level strategic objectives for the department and the specific action plans to accomplish.  
    • Effective evaluation of potential payment products, services and vendors
    • On as-needed basis, assist the other Payments personnel with processing activities during times of resource shortages.


    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong expertise with using Excel to analyze large and complex data sets.
    • Strong SQL skills – ability to query complex database tables to gather information to support analysis.
    • Expertise and experience with accounting and financial control systems
    • Ability to envision, document and clearly communicate end-to-end solutions.
    • Skilled in creating process flows and swim lane diagrams in Visio.
    • Ability to forge relationships with various business and technical team members and managers.
    • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Strong sense of ownership and accountability to deliver planned results
    • Extremely detail-oriented
    • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
    • Excellent interview and client interaction skills.
    • Familiarity with software development lifecycles and processes.

    Required education and experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a technology related field. Equivalent work experience may be substituted for education.
    • Minimum 5+ years experience as a business systems analyst with complex custom financial systems, preferably with subscription billing/payments systems
