    Compliance Testing and Monitoring Manager job description

    Progrexion is looking for a Testing and Monitoring Manager to join our Legal and Compliance team. This position will be responsible for the implementation, oversight and ongoing support of the compliance testing program within the organization. He/she will also work with the members of the Legal and Compliance Department to provide support as needed.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop test programs that 1) identify and assess the design of the control structure and environment, and 2) test the existing controls to ensure they are effective and functioning as management intended to mitigate regulatory risk.
    • Manage the process of implementation, oversight, and hands-on performance of the comprehensive compliance program for testing, reviewing and monitoring.
    • Ensure the right controls, risk monitoring, and mitigations are in place, are operating effectively and meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
    • Review and assess employee and agent phone calls with prospective customers.
    • Identify key risk indicators and perform risk assessments on themes tested.
    • Prepare written reports that summarize the objectives, scope, findings and conclusions for each assigned review.
    • Work closely with business line to develop remediation plans to resolve control weaknesses identified and follow up on the issues and on the status of remediation.
    • Work with the applicable Compliance Officer to identify emerging risk areas, recommend and perform ad hoc testing as necessary.
    • Work collaboratively with other members of the Legal & Compliance teams to provide additional support as needed.
    • Assist with regulatory exams and inquiries as needed.

    Qualifications

    • Seven years compliance or internal audit experience.
    • Two years of experience testing or auditing credit and consumer protection regulations.
    • Bachelor’s degree or CRCM certification required.
    • Knowledge of and experience with the following regulations preferred:
      • Consumer protection laws
      • Telemarketing Sales Rule
      • Fair Credit Reporting Act
      • GLBA and related privacy acts
      • EFTA and NACHA rules
      • Credit Repair Organizations Act
    • Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-task environment with competing priorities.
    • Excellent writing, editing and computer skills.
    • Must be a self-starter, tactful, detail oriented, and able to comprehend and interpret regulations.
    • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with demonstrable ability to write clearly.
    • Ability to initiate and follow-through on projects with little supervision or guidance.
    • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff, other programs and agencies.
    • Experience dealing with regulatory agencies and both internal and external auditors.
    • Excellence in customer service, partnering and teamwork, and quality performance.
